Since 1983, the French non-profit association Geyser is going with current evolutions of rural areas, in France and in Europe.
Its members and staff:
coordinate networks and working groups
build programs for the support of local initiatives
implement training sessions for local actors
encourage the exchange of experiences
give advises
build bridges between pratitionners, researchers and policy makers.
Its activities concern the local dialog between collective actors of the rural and peri-urban areas in order to give solutions to environmental and land use conflicts ; the democratization of the technical and scientific choices ; the support to initiatives related to actual challenges and able to strengthen links between citizenss.
